New products always growing!

We are always starting new projects here, and we’re excited to share them with you as Planted grows and expands. Keep an eye on this space for more information about what we’re currently growing and what is coming up soon. CULINARY HERBS

Our culinary herbs are full of flavor and bring an earthy pop of color to any dish. Some of our herbs are offered as microgreens and “teen” varieties, too, so contact us if you have any special requests!

  • chives
  • basil
  • dill
  • parsley
  • shiso

GREENS AND LETTUCES

Our greens are the perfect base for salads! Healthy, nutritious, and full of flavor, we take pride in our ability to offer a wide variety of greens and lettuces year-round.

We are currently growing:

  • arugula
  • golden frill
  • scarlet frill
  • kale (blue, black magic, red russian, toscanini)
  • mache
  • mizuna
  • spinach
  • bib lettuce
  • shiso (red and green)
  • tatsoi

MICROGREENS

Our microgreens might be small, but they pack a macro punch. These specialty mini greens can be used in any dish to add color, visual interest and a pop of concentrated flavor.

We’re currently growing:

  • micro radish
  • micro daikon
  • micro shiso (red and green)
  • micro mizuna
  • micro cilantro
  • baby cilantro

R&D

Our goal at Planted is to grow exactly what you want to buy, locally, sustainably and year round. We’re open to trying unique crops, new growing systems and anything else that might solve a bottleneck in Detroit’s food system. Currently, we’re trying out strawberries in our R&D tent, along with some new herbs, like oregano.
