Basil grown in Planted’s systems is flavorful, strong and healthy, and our herb capabilities don’t stop there. We’re currently seeding cilantro, curly and flat leaf parsley, chives, mint and shiso.
We are currently growing arugula, mizuna, tatsoi, green leaf, red leaf and a gourmet mix of baby greens in our grow system. We also grow baby head lettuces and hearty greens such as kale, collards and chard.
Our microgreens might be small, but they pack a macro punch. These specialty mini greens can be used in any dish to add color, visual interest and a pop of concentrated flavor. Currently we are growing Mizuna, Arugula, Red Arrow Radish, Bull’s Blood Beet, and Basil microgreens, alongside tender and flavorful pea shoots.
Our goal at Planted is to grow exactly what you want to buy, locally, sustainably and year round. We’re open to trying unique crops, new growing systems and anything else that might solve a bottleneck in Detroit’s food system.
